Creating Prayer, Study and Action for Peace
Mission:
Pax Christi New Mexico is a region of Pax Christi USA, the national Catholic peace movement, which seeks to promote the peace of Christ by exploring, articulating, witnessing and practicing Gospel nonviolence.
Pax Christi New Mexico advocates personal, communal and global nonviolence; the formation and development of Pax Christi members, parishes and groups in New Mexico; prayer services, retreats, and educational events that promote Christian nonviolence and peace; and a nonviolent campaign for the disarmament of Los Alamos National Laboratory. Pax Christi New Mexico works to abolish war, poverty, violence, injustice and nuclear weapons in New Mexico and the world and welcome God's reign of peace on earth.
